What is meant by DC current

The term direct current (DC) supply is given to a supply source that makes current to flow 
through a circuit in one direction only.

       Batteries and some types of generators give DC supply of constant voltage.

   ## DC supply is not distributed by electric supply agencies in India.















     Advantage of DC supply
  
     1) D.C is better for electric arc-welding.
     2) D.C is essential for electroplating.
     3) D.C is essential for the operation of various electronic equipment .
